The actors of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" will reportedly return for season 2 according to insiders.

Belly's family is also expected to return; however, Rachel Blanchard, who portrays Susannah, may or may not be present if the character has died in the period between seasons.

The Summer I Turned Pretty, a new Prime Video show, was granted the light symbol for a second series even before it launched on Friday, June 17.

That could indicate that viewers haven't yet had the opportunity to watch the series and become fascinated with it, but it seems like they will.

According to Deadline, a second series will undoubtedly be developed. It hasn't been given a release date, but given that it was revealed in June this year, it's safe to assume it'll return in the summer of 2023.

Rachel Blanchard, Christopher Briney, Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Colin Ferguson, and Tom Everett Scott are among the newcomers to the show. 

Across Han's three-book series, Briney and Casalegno will return as the brothers who remain to vie for Belly's love.

Han will reappear as a showrunner behind the cameras, this time collaborating with Sarah Kucserka.

She has also written the pilot for the program and continues to have a big say in how the onscreen  portrayal of her story unfolds.
