Jeremy Renner's near-death accident has reportedly made the Marvel star reevaluate his priorities – and Hollywood did not make the cut. Yes, Hollywood is "not a priority" for one of its biggest talents. An insider who recently saw the star said that while the actor still loves performing, he wants to use his platform to "create change in the world."

Valerie Renner, Jeremy Renner's mom, has been a "tremendous support," seeing to him most weekends. Recovering in his Los Angeles home, the "Mayor of Kingstown" lead has a lot of face time with his daughter, Ava Berlin Renner, per a Daily Mail report published on Thursday.

Three days after his accident in January, the actor thanked his mother and sister via Instagram Stories for orchestrating a "spa moment" in the ICU. His sister is heard making her brother laugh with light-hearted jokes, and she massages his head.

Jeremy Renner Gave Back to His Mom by Renovating Her Home

For Mother's Day 2022, Renner credited his "rock star mom" for being where he was, adding that he is grateful daily for her "love and guidance."

The host of "Rennervations," which is airing on Disney + this April, was on the first season of HGTV's "Celebrity IOU" in 2020, aptly titled "A Mom Renner-vation!" Presented by Jonathan Scott and Drew Scott of "Property Brothers" fame, the show helps celebrities to surprise a loved one with a fresh home reno'.

Jeremy Renner and his siblings had bought a '70s condo for their mom to be closer to them and her six grandchildren in LA. The Hollywood actor envisioned a modern, yet cozy, space that is grandchild-friendly.

As it goes in TV renovation programs, they only had five weeks to revamp all the downstairs rooms. Before becoming a movie star, Jeremy worked in construction, having a hand in 25 renovation projects. So he was not just around to look at paint samples when the cameras were rolling.

They created a large open-plan living area by removing the wall between the kitchen and living room, connected by a giant island. Walking into the house on reveal day, Valerie told her son: "I don't think this is my house." She said she felt "fancy" when prompted by the presenter's brothers.

Valerie could not be happier by the surprise glow-up of her new home, musing that they could make new memories in the house: "My life has come full circle now. I can have all my grandchildren here; I can have my children here." The grandkids also showed up at the end of the episode to prove their granny's point.
