Officially GP On The Run After Human Trafficking Indictment
Officially GP (or Officially Got Paper) is reportedly on the run after being indicted last month on human trafficking charges.
According to a report from Cleveland.com, the 42-year-old Cleveland rapper (who was born Thomas Bradford but later changed his name to Dawud Sami) was indicted in December on two counts of trafficking in persons, two counts of compelling prostitution and two counts of promoting prostitution. He’s accused of operating a human trafficking ring where he would allegedly brand his female victims.

His victims reportedly told investigators with the Northeast Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force that he was advertising sex for sale online and would brand them with “Red Karpet” tattoos, which was the name of his entertainment company. According to investigators, GP also bought multiple luxury cars and a home using his victims’ identities.
“The task force uncovered credible, serious allegations that this trafficker must answer for,” Attorney General Dave Yost said in a statement. “We’re hoping the public has information on his location so this investigation can bring his victims justice.”

A write-up about the upcoming rapper on ThisIs50 revealed he did a seven-year prison bid in the past, though it doesn’t elaborate on the charges. On his Instagram page, Officially GP describes himself as an actor and model in addition to an artist, but he hasn’t updated it since posting a Fashion Nova ad in June of 2021.
According to court records, GP’s offenses date back to at least April 30. He was scheduled to be arraigned on December 27, but his criminal summons came back unserved and a bench warrant for his arrest was issued the following day.
